About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a reliable and experienced kitchen assistant / 2IC to support our breakfast service managed by The Valley Table at Bay and Bush. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working solo, takes initiative, and wants to be part of a calm, well-run hospitality offering.
You’ll be stepping in to run breakfast service on select days – mainly weekends – and supporting the lead cook where needed. Perfect for someone wanting casual, flexible work in a beautiful setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a simple, fresh breakfast buffet for guests
- Maintain cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Assist with stock checks and online order system as needed
- Communicate clearly with guests and the lead chef
- Work independently and take responsibility for smooth daily service
Requirements
- Confident cook with hospitality or kitchen experience
- Comfortable working on your own
- Weekend availability is essential
- Strong communicator with good time management
- Food safety certification is a bonus
