About the Role

We’re looking for a capable and self-sufficient chef or experienced cook to lead a new breakfast offering managed by The Valley Table for guests at Bay and Bush, a beautiful boutique accommodation just minutes away from Huskisson in Jervis Bay.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives working independently, takes pride in their organisation, and is confident running a small kitchen on their own.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a daily breakfast buffet for guests (simple, fresh, high-quality offering)
  • Handle kitchen set-up, clean-up, and pack down each day
  • Manage stock and maintain ingredient levels with minimal waste
  • Operate and monitor online order systems (must have basic computer skills)
  • Communicate with guests and host team in a professional and friendly manner
  • Be flexible and open to occasional special events or adjusted shifts

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a solo or small-team setting
  • Excellent communication and self-management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Organisational skills to manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen operations
  • Certificates (Food Safety, RSA, etc.) are a bonus but can be provided by us for the right person.
