Huskisson Pictures is an old school picture theatre that plays the latest films!
Originally constructed back in 1913 by the Dent family as a community hall for their employees, the hall has been used as a church, school, public hall, dance & concert venue and theatre. It has been screening movies since the early 1950’s.
Major renovations in August 1990 made the building into a permanent cinema. While the interior was completely refurbished with new foyers, carpet, seats, toilets, curtains, sound and projection equipment. The exterior was left as original as much as possible with only a new roof, entrance and exit doors.
The theatres surround grounds were completely landscaped and the garden has won the ‘best commercial Garden’ both in local and district competitions.
